Kyudo(Japanese archery)
- Concierge Tour
- Minimum/Maximum Participants/1-8
- Required Time/3 hours
Kyudo (Japanese archery) is one of Japan’s traditional martial arts with deep connections to Zen philosophy. German philosopher Eugen Herrigel famously described Kyudo as “Standing Zen” in his book Zen in the Art of Archery.
This program offers participants the opportunity to experience the true essence of Kyudo, which goes far beyond simply hitting a target. Kyudo emphasizes the pursuit of Shin–Zen–Bi (Truth, Goodness, and Beauty) through disciplined practice, mindfulness, and respect.

Participants will learn the fundamentals of Kyudo, take part in an actual shooting experience, and observe a formal archery demonstration (Yawatashi) by a qualified instructor.
The experience takes place in an authentic Budokan (martial arts hall), a specialized training facility for traditional Japanese martial arts. Participants will wear genuine Kyudo uniforms during the program.
